“Pine Hollow Dec 22nd” a Plein Air oil painting, 11” x 14”, completed on site at Pine Hollow in Cuyahoga Valley National Park (CVNP) by Jennifer Newyear. Temperature 34 degrees with a good breeze. While setting up I found I needed to hang a weight on the easel and clamp the canvas tight so it would not blow away. Mittens were a must as was working quickly.

“August Morning” is an oil painting  I completed in a three session on site study of morning light between 8:30 AM and 11:30 AM.  The size is 16″ x 20″ It has been accepted into the Chagrin Valley Art Center juried show En Plein Air.

“Snow Blooms”

An April sunrise with snowfall on forsythia, daffodil, and willow with a blush of warmth on the horizon. By the end of the day the snow had melted, only to be replaced with a new coat the next morning.

17th Annual Epiphany Arts Festival

Over 200 regional artists, including Kathleen Shipman Harrington, Craig Staufer, and I, have paintings in the The Bath Church, United Church Of Christ “17th Annual Epiphany Arts Festival”. Celebrate the joy artists bring into our lives! This Saturday, Jan 16th, 2016 is the reception from 2 – 5. Show runs Jan 16 – Feb 14. Hours are Weds 1-4, Thurs 7-9, Sat 10-3, and Sun 12-3. 3980 W.
